Ken Buckley Memorial Lecture 2026

Are we losing the right to protest?

The Ken Buckley Memorial Lecture honours one of the founders of NSW Council for Civil Liberties, Ken Buckley.

Buckley was an academic, activist, historian and economist who was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2000 for his advocacy of civil liberties, human rights, and social justice in Australia.

This year, the lecture will be delivered by the Hon. Anthony D'Adam MLC, a member of the NSW Upper House who has been a leading voice for the right to protest.

Please join us from 6pm at the Maritime Union of Australia (365-375 Sussex St, Sydney NSW 2000) for light refreshments beforehand.
