THE OFFSHORE IMMIGRATION DETENTION REGIME

Larry Vincent spoke to the motion and noted that the aim is to address past injustices. He acknowledged the work of Martin Bibby and Angela Catallo as convenors of the Asylum Seeker Action Group.


Resolution
The NSWCCL supports the appointment of a Royal Commission into the mistreatment of all
detainees in the offshore immigration detention network

Moved by Larry Vincent, seconded by Therese Cochrane and the motion was declared carried.

NSWCCL acknowledges that the land on which we operate and function is the traditional land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation.

We pay our respects to the Elders, both past and present and acknowledge the Youth, the future leaders, in whose hands we hold our hope for a reconciled future.

Always was, always will be.
