The late John Marsden was a life member and long-time President of the NSW Council for Civil Liberties, a President of the NSW Law Society and we are holding this 10th anniversary lecture in honour of his great contribution to the advancement of civil liberties in NSW.

The Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG, will be discussing the life and impact of John Marsden on civil liberties, and specifically on LGBTIQ rights, looking at where Australia is today in the ongoing challenge for equality.
