Join us on Thursday 20th October 2022 for the NSWCCL Annual Dinner and Journalism Awards. We are delighted to have Charles Firth from The Chaser as our host and the keynote address will be presented by the Hon Linda Burney MP and Thomas Mayor
The Hon. Linda Burney MP, Minister for Indigenous Australians and Thomas Mayor, a signatory to Uluru Statement from the Heart, are our specials guests for the 2022 Annual NSW Council for Civil Liberties Dinner. Join us to listen and learn about the importance of Voice, Treaty and Truth and the momentous opportunity this presents for our nation and our organisation to support this important campaign.
The Minister will introduce Thomas, who will deliver the key-note speech, and speak with us about the upcoming referendum and the campaign to support a YES vote enshrining a constitutionally recognised First Nations Voice to Parliament.
The Uluru Statement from the Heart is a generous gift from First Nations people, providing an opportunity to finally recognise every Australian voice. We all have a role to play in understanding and explaining the Voice to millions of Australians before a referendum is held.
