This year we welcome Professor Rosalind Dixon to deliver our keynote address. Rosalind Dixon is a leading global expert on comparative constitutional law, design, and democracy. She is Professor of Law and Director of the Gilbert + Tobin Centre of Public Law at UNSW Sydney, and a former assistant professor at the University of Chicago Law School, visiting professor at Columbia Law School, Harvard Law School, and the National University of Singapore. She is also past co-president of the International Society of Public Law, and a member of the Australian Academy of Law and Academy of Arts and Social Sciences.

Since 2019 we have recognised journalists working in Australia who produce excellent work promoting civil liberties and holding governments and corporations to account. Each year the awards are announced at our gala Annual Dinner.

We are so happy to welcome multi award winning print and broadcast journalist Amber Schultz back as one of our wonderful judges. Amber is a highly credentialed, Walkley Award winning journalist, bringing a wealth of experience and passion for a good story to the fore.

Entries close on 5 August 2024. Go to our awards page for more information.
