Fundraising Dinner for the 17 families of the Tamil Refugees with an adverse security assessment in Villawood

Many of us know about the long and painful indefinite detention that 54 men and women, mainly Tamils, and also including families, have had to go through for the last 4-5 years because of the ASIO adverse security assessment given to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) about them. All of them were found to be genuine refugees by DIBP. Many are now entering their sixth calendar year of detention.
