Our Mission

The UNSW Council for Civil Liberties (UNSWCCL) is a student organisation that seeks to promote awareness and respect for human rights in the conduct of public affairs. UNSWCCL is affiliated with the New South Wales Council for Civil Liberties (NSWCCL).

We aim to inform and promote debate on important human rights issues. We also want to provide an avenue where you can make a difference through assisting in advocacy.

We organise on-campus seminars, debates and other activities. We also provide students with an opportunity to gain experience in advocacy, submissions to parliament and pro bono work.

We're always interested to hear what students have to say, so come along to our next general meeting!

To be informed of upcoming events, send us a message & we'll add you to our emailing list.

A WARM WELCOME TO ALL NEW MEMBERS

Membership for UNSWCCL members is currently free.

University of NSW students can contact a committee member of the UNSWCCL on campus.

All UNSWCCL Members are encouraged to join NSWCCL who extend an open invitation to attend NSWCCL Committee meetings. Please phone the office to notify your intention to attend.
